
The Park is working diligently to protect the health and safety of competitors, trainers, and staff during these times. Please help us by following these guidelines:
Rules to Follow when Attending Shows:
- Prior to Arriving at the Park
- Sign a USEF Release and Paso Robles Horse Park Liability Waiver
- Self monitor temperature prior to the start of each day – individuals with a temperature below or equal to 99.5° F (37.5° C) may enter the grounds
- Complete entries, scratches, and payments online prior to entering the competition facility
- Park Rules
- Anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, who has been in contact with or suspects they have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 within the last two weeks, may not enter the competition grounds
- A face mask/covering or single-person positioning behind plexi-glass is required for all people on the grounds – Exceptions only include competitors while mounted on a horse, children under the age of 2, persons with a medical condition, mental health condition or disability that prevents wearing a face covering
- Maintain a 6-foot distance while on the competition grounds
- Wash hands regularly and follow other sanitation procedures
- Utilize the provided sanitation products around the facilities
- Random temperature testing may be conducted daily on the competition grounds
- Regular sanitation of high traffic areas including arena gates, bathrooms, jumps, offices, etc.
- Plexi-glass barriers have been installed at back gate houses and office windows to limit contact
- Show and Go – we ask that riders minimize time on the grounds and make an effort to leave once their final ride is complete
- No outside spectators – Only competitors, trainers, grooms, immediate family of competitors, and owners will be allowed on the competition grounds
- Stabling
- Stabling will be planned and published prior to the start of the show and will comply with social distancing requirements
- Touch only the equipment and supplies necessary for completing tasks of caring for and exercising the specific horse(s)
- Do not share equipment
- Feed/bedding delivery by competition staff will be made with as little contact as possible – please email [email protected] or text (805) 369-1338 to arrange feed orders
- Trainers should provide face masks, hand sanitizer, and other cleaning/disinfecting products for anyone related to their barn for use on the competition grounds
- Trainer packets containing entry numbers, entry forms, schedules, and COVID rules will be available at your stall if all payment information is in prior to the start of the show.
- Schooling / Warm-Up Areas
- Each competition ring will have a dedicated schooling area with 3-4 practice jumps
- Face masks or coverings are required when not mounted on a horse
- Use hand sanitizing station upon entry and exit of the warm-up rings
- Supplies for jump cleaning are available; we encourage those setting jumps to clean at the start and conclusion of their use of the jumps
- Each competition ring will have a dedicated schooling area with 3-4 practice jumps
- Food and VIP
- There is no VIP tent or events at this time
- There is limited food and beverage service on-site
- Food available will be grab-and-go style
- Food may be brought in
- Awards
- Ribbons and prizes will be delivered to barns the following day by the hospitality specialist
- Exchanging prizes is discouraged to avoid multiple contacts
- Media and Photo Protocol
- As we work to minimize the number of people present at our shows, outside media and photographers are not permitted to attend competitions at this time
- The Park will be capturing media resources throughout the show to share with any outlets interested in covering the competition – email [email protected] to receive media updates or photos

- COVID Cool Captains will be monitoring the competition grounds handing out prizes to individuals demonstrating #COVIDCool behavior
